The largest museum in the country, built between 1837 and 1847, to the palns of Mihály Pollack
It is almost 8000 square meters in area, and has five independent departments: the Archaeological COllectio, the Medieval Collection, the Modern Collection, the Numismatic Collection and the Historical Portrait Collection. It is a must for serious travellers. There are moe than ten statues int he Museum Garden. There is even a column straight from the Forum Romanum, given by Italy in 1930. The garden is locked at 9 p.m.
